Mobile Drone Operations Identification Application

 

 

In 2017 UAS Centre Finland will publish a Mobile Application for tracking and monitoring UAV/drones. Application will provide Airspace maps and overview of airspace restrictions. Application allows UAV/drone operator to show others where he is operating in real time. Aircraft pilot can check possible UAV/drone activity. There is also a messenger between persons having mobile app and possibility to share data on Facebook. Mobile App will be public in Finland during summer 2017 and for FREE.

 

 

Aurora Artic Drone Hackathon

 

 

Intelligent transport is not just for the good days! The Aurora test ecosystem is designed for verifying and validating new ITS solutions and innovations in real extreme weather conditions. Situated above the Arctic Circle, road from Kolari to Kilpisjärvi, Aurora offers a unique test location for validation, marketing and assessment of impacts and performances of intelligent transport automation.

UAS Centre was taking care of drone flight operation coordination and safety training, when Aurora project was studying drones and their capabilities. UAS Centre was also a technical mentor for teams. Hackathon was providing interesting solutions to be developed further. Hull and Liability UAV insurance

 

 

In begining of summer 2017 UAS Centre Finland started to provide with cooperation with Insurance broker RENOMIA Hull and Liability isnurance. Collective agreement with Insurer Tokio Marine Kiln gave possibility to help commercial drone operators isnure theits vehicles and ccessories. Developemnt of working project took alsomost 1 year and including complex system, which preparing commercial drone operators for comming EASA regulation changes. As part of this project was design product ,,Drone operator package,, including combination of insurance, training and loog books.Please see our partner website: RENOMIA Insurance broker and Tokiomarine Kiln Insurer.

 

 

Log books

 

 

UAS Centre Finlad stared to produce own Loog books for UAV/drone operation and pilots. Set of Log books inculde Pilot log book, Flight log book and Maintenance book. DroneWorks Studio

 

 

One of the world’s most famous youtube blogger Casey Neistat wanted to visit Santa Claus. This time everything during the visit was relating to drones. Because this is not happening every year, it was planned to make a video about the adventure. UAS Center was providing risk assessments and other assistance in working in Finland, like connections to ATC operators. Hanko – Haapslu BVLOS flight

 

 

Europe`s First Unmanned over the Sea From one Country to Another BVLOS Flight will be held on August 16th 2016. UAS Centre Finland is the main partner of the BVLOS Flight from Hanko in Finland to Haapsalu in Estonia. The distance between these sister cities is 100km. Aviation authorities on both sides of the Gulf have been supportive to see the first civilian RPAS system conducting the beyond the line of sight flight. Now the City Mayors of Hanko and Haapsalu will have a new way of delivering small packages from one City to another. On 16th of August will be seen what is the content of the first delivery. The flight is produced by Global Virtual Platform GVP and operated by the Finnish RPAS manufacturer Avartek Ky.

Training

 

UAS Centre provided in 2016 several training courses in Finnish language. Most successful course in 2016 was 4hours Course 1: Basic UAS knowledge and Course 3: Restricted aviation radiotelephone operator’s license. During all events we were able to give additionally a wide view about aviation world with its working values. Satisfied customers was best honor for us.
